Returns & Warranty Policy

Our Returns Policy

At Millfield Autoparts, we strive to ensure complete customer satisfaction with every purchase. We understand that sometimes items need to be returned, and we've made our returns process as straightforward as possible.

Retail Customers

All returns must be brought back to either of our store locations. We do not offer collection services for retail customer returns.

Trade/Garage Customers

For our trade customers who receive regular deliveries, we can collect returns during our next scheduled delivery to your location.

Return Eligibility

You may return most new, unopened/unused items within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Items must be in their original packaging and condition, with all original tags and labels attached.

Defective Items

If you believe an item is defective, please contact our team before returning the item. Our staff will provide guidance on the return process for defective merchandise.

Return Process

  1. Contact us at 01733 557457 (Peterborough) or 01778 789500 (Market Deeping) to discuss your return.
  2. Return the item to either of our branches, bringing your receipt or proof of purchase.
  3. Our team will inspect the item and process your refund or exchange.

Important: Special order parts are non-returnable. Please ensure you need the part before placing a special order.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned under our standard return policy (but may still be eligible for warranty claims where applicable):

  • Special order parts
  • Electrical components that have been installed
  • Items that have been used, installed, or modified
  • Items without proof of purchase
  • Items returned beyond the 30-day return period

Warranty Information

Warranty coverage varies by manufacturer and product type. Each manufacturer sets their own warranty terms and conditions.

Making a Warranty Claim

To inquire about warranty coverage or make a claim:

  1. Contact our team at either branch to discuss the issue with the part.
  2. Our staff will advise on the specific warranty coverage for your product.
  3. Bring the part to our store along with your proof of purchase.
  4. We will handle the warranty claim process with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Please Note: Warranty terms and processing times vary by manufacturer. Our team will provide you with the most accurate information for your specific purchase.

Please be aware that the majority of standard warranty claims can take up to six weeks to complete depending on the supplier and if they need to see the part before considering a credit. Due to circumstances beyond our control some claims can take in excess of six weeks.

Please also be aware that Millfield Autoparts Ltd are governed by the original suppliers Terms and Conditions and the suppliers findings are final.

Warranty Exclusions

Most warranties do not cover damage resulting from:

  • Improper installation
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Modifications to the vehicle or part
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Use in non-standard applications
